The first major phase of infrastructure development was presided over by the sixth Principal Fr Kuncheria Ettuparayil S.J. His tenure also witnessed vigorous activities in both curricular and co-curricular fields. He increased the student-strength to 400 [120 boarders+280 day scholars], bought two buses for the school, introduced the first emblem and brought out the first issue of the School Annual The Loyolite, enlivened the Literary Association, and arranged special training in oratory and debate.

1966: Supported by the Rector, Fr. K.P. Joseph S.J., and assisted by the Vice- Principal, Fr Mathew Pulickal S.J., the blueprint of the main wing of the present ICSE block was prepared and the resource mobilisation was begun with a Benefit Show at Tagore Theatre on 15 October.
